A Study On The Chinese Contemporary Internet Mysterious Imaginary Fiction

The mysterious imaginary fiction is a kind of internet fiction that grew speedily in the recent years. The mysterious imaginary fiction should have two definitions both in a broad sense and in a narrow sense. In the narrow sense, the mysterious imaginary fiction refers to those internet popular fictions that originated in the internet era and were popular in the consumer era, that take the reality-impracticable material and supernatural heroes as their basic content, that take the spiritual carnalism as their main values and take entertainment and recreation as their direct aims. This thesis will mainly discuss the mysterious imaginary fiction in the narrow sense.Chapter 1 mainly discusses the cultural origin of the mysterious imaginary fiction. We emphatically discussed the influence from the Chinese and western mythology and legends, ancient Chinese monster fiction and fairy tales, ancient Chinese hero legend fiction and chivalrous swordsman fiction, religion, folk culture and witchcraft, god and monster fiction, western queer imaginary fiction and films, scientific imaginary fiction and films, cartoons and internet games.Chapter 2 mainly discusses the types of the characters and the comprehensive types of the mysterious imaginary fiction. Firstly, we combed the types of characters in the mysterious imaginary fiction depending on the creating status. We mainly analyzed the supermen, the immortal chivalrous swordsmen, the gods, the devils, the extraordinary beings, common human beings and their characteristics. Secondly, we sorted the mysterious imaginary fiction's comprehensive types depending on the creating status. We discussed the characteristics of the queer imaginary fiction, the fairy tales, the metropolitan stories, the love stories, the historical stories, the military stories, the internet game stories, the sport stories, the scientific imaginary stories, the goblin stories, the colleague's stories, etc.Chapter 3 discusses the characteristics of the mysterious imaginary fiction. The main characteristics of the mysterious imaginary fiction includes the tendency of world-impractical in the aspect of material-choosing, the tendency of spiritual carnalism in the aspect of ideology, the tendency of time-space-crossing in the aspect of narrative time and space, the tendency of deconstruction in the aspect of art method, the tendency of consumerism and commercialization in the aspect of propagation, the tendency of popularization in the aspect of literary acceptance.Chapter 4 discusses the reasons of rising up and the defects of the mysterious imaginary fiction.
