Beijing Accent Bass Drum is an artistic form of folk art forms accompanied by a bass drum which is popular in Anyang district of Henan province, and is very much cherished by the people of the peripheral areas of Anyang city such as Linzhou city, Anyang County, Tangyin County and so on. However, Beijing Accent Bass Drum—the traditional folk art forms is facing serious existent crisis. We can't find its performance unless in obscure villages in Taihang Mountain area of Lin county, and most of the performers are aged, but with the development of society, people's cultural and economic concepts are transforming, which make it difficult to train young successors for the artists of performing Beijing Accent Bass Drum. At present, Beijing Accent Bass Drum is facing serious existent crisis, and its own excellent traditions is also losing more or less.Based on the investigation on the music of Beijing Accent Bass Drum, this paper has collected and sorted out its historical evolution, musical structure, folk tune structure, language rhyme, artistic characteristics and performance lists and so on, which can undoubtedly provide full and accurate research data for the protection and development of local folk art forms; and the thought and analysis on its existent condition will provide the theoretic support for its reform, innovation and development for local folk art. Beijing Accent Bass Drum belongs to specific native culture which embodies profound cultural information including social reform, local customs and aesthetic interest. It is the important part of local culture. Therefore, this paper has certain reference value for researching local culture.
