| This thesis inspects the management of TVA in Tennessee valley from 1933 to 1953. The author hopes to explore the role it played on the process of watershed management and get a deeper understanding of the government intervention in United States.In this paper, the basic framework is as follows:Introduction is an account of the origins of writing, as well as the historiography of TVA's early history. In addition, TVA's background is briefly introduced. Chapter one and Chapter two of this essay is the major part . According to the TVA Act requirements, as well as the actual operation of TVA, the author classify the treatment of TVA into two parts : The first is the basic building at the core of flood control, navigation, power generation; The second is the valley livelihood of the people in agriculture, community planning and health. Further consideration of TVA's operation is reflected on the Chapter three .All electricity and fertilizer distribution of the two perspectives of the operation of TVA embodied the idea of cooperation. In Chapter four , the author analyses the development of the Tennessee Valley promoted by TVA. In addition ,the historical achievements and lessons of TVA will be summarized. The conclusion summarizes the whole paper. |
