Research On The Functions And Countermeasures Of Music Education In Quality-oriented Education In Higher Education

Higher education in China develops rapaidly nowadays and many great fruitions have been achieved. The competition in economy and technology becomes more and more furious in the 21th century. As college students will become the main force of our country in future, their quality will directly affect the ability of China to win the international competition in the coming international competition. While in the process of economy globalizaion and the initial stage of market ecomony in our country, people pay more attention to economy development, thus some majors supposed to GDP relative which will make instant profit are warmly welcomed while the others be greatly abscent treated including music courses which belong to art education. Music is not only used to express one's emotion and cultivate magnificent sentiment of students, but also in favor of development of pensonal thought, even the construction of spiritual civilization and the development of harmonious society. Therefore music education plays an important role in improving imagination and creation ability of students, contributing to cultivate persons with fully developed ability.Music education in higher education is not a strange topic for most people. Actually it's still a weak education project in most colleges. Since science technology has a lot of relationship with music, the problem how to widen views of students, enrich their culture knowledge, improve their artistic culture and develop their intellegence and creation ability through music education deserves our further research. This dissertation presents the discussion and analysis of the hypostasis and the unique functions of music education through questionnaire, interview and documents. The problems appear in higher education have been investigated and discussed. Thereout some concrete improvement Countermeasures and implementation suggestions have been presented.
