Chinese traditional theatre is the performing art forms that use the speech, action and dance to tell a story in Chinese history. It meets six elements of the basic requirements -- performances, story, speech, singing, movement (covering dance) and the stage. "Faultage" is originally a geological term that means crust level disruption and discontinuity obvious displacement of geological phenomena. "Chinese traditional theatre faultage phenomenon" refers to of a mature drama form develops from its mature stage to its wake time in the traditional Chinese theater history, and in a longer historical period revert to peace and silence, until they meet certain historical conditions, mature form of drama rises again, focusing on two mature form of drama interrupted, not coordinate with each other.Faultage phenomenon in Chinese traditional drama development history is not an accident in the world drama development history. In the European theater history, ancient Indian Sanskrit theater history and the history of the development of Japanese drama, there appears a similar faultage phenomenon. We are here to define this phenomenon as the faultage phenomena of the world's drama. From the point of the development of Chinese traditional drama, this paper will mainly discuss the faultage phenomena in traditional Chinese theatre.In the traditional Chinese theatre development process, as early as the Western Zhou Dynasty as "Da Wu" in the case, it included performances of literature, music and dance, integrating dance in the early performance art form. Chu during the Warring States to have occurred as "Nine Songs" Thus, to meet the six elements of the stage: performances, story, speech, singing, movement (covering dance). Southern Song Dynasty opera marks the emergence of second mature stage of Chinese traditional theatre. Chinese traditional theatre in these two mature forms of drama created a 1500-year faultage. During this period, the "theatre" disappeared from our vision.The traditional Chinese theater history of the development of faultage phenomena is of important academic value and historical significance.First, a systematic study of faultage issue in Chinese traditional theatre development history will be conducive to a more profound understanding and recognize of the development of the traditional Chinese theater history; Second, in-depth study of faultage in Chinese traditional theatre history development is benefit to the traditional Chinese theatre research work; Third, the comparison with other drama forms is helpful to understand the essence of drama development, and also contributes to explore drama ontology and its development law.
