Some Questions And Evolution Study Of The Constructions Of "You-meiyou/you+VP"

On the basis of a lost of linguistic facts,the paper emphatically probed into two kinds of new questions concerning "you-meiyou/you+VP"in Contemporary Chinese.First,it reviewed seniors'research conditions of the constructions of "you-meiyou/you+VP".Next,it analyzed the evolutional course of the construction of "you-meiyou +VP" at a diachronic angle and anatomized respective sorts of conditions of the construction of "you-meiyou +VP" from the aspects of syntax,semantic and pragmatic.Then,it investigated the stimulus of the generation of the construction of "you-meiyou +VP" and attributed the most generative cause that was the influence of southern dialect,the analogical effect of linguistic development,the economical principle of linguistics and the demand of symmetrical mechanism. Chapter 4 researched unsymmetry of answer system of positive-negative question of you-meiyou +VP" and indicated that its positive replys was increasing rapidly. The rest of the paper (chapter6-8)mainly inspected the sentence of "you +VP".It firstly summarize respective views. Secondly it analysed the conditions of assortments and pointed out that the part of speech of you"was an adverb nominated a focus marker with the function of stressing focus.Thirdly with the construction dated back, it found that from Dynasty Zhou to Ming there had been existing the phenomenon of you+VP" and it didn't disappear from main-trend language until late of Dynasty Ming.But it reoccurred at one of the works in early Dynasty Qing, Dream of the Red Chamber while there wasn't a case at the contemporary work,Enlightening Marital Biography and at the work of late Qing,Heroic Biography of Sons and Daughters.The author regarded that it was the old usages reserved in the dialects at foregoing cases.Then, it mainly anatomized the internal and external causes of the reactivation of you+VP" in putonghua.Interior factors chiefly included interaction efFect,analogy,re-analysis,demand of symmetry,generation of language common character and produce of interrelated formats.Exterior factors primarily consisted of language contact,dialect contact, media inducement and principle of the saying"repeat like a parrot".Last,the paper also discussed that"you+VP" wasn't still generalized completely owing to existence of the perfective of "liao" in language system.In my opinion,there exist many problems unsettled and it is indispensable to make deep researches on the issue.
