This thesis, mainly researches verses of Baijuyi's style written by Wangyucheng. it discusses two aspects in four chapters. The verses of Baijuyi's style in the early Song Dynasty mostly are some simple and smooth ChangHe verses, with features of nature, grace, leisureliness, and plainness, whose contents and features are on account of this school of verse its own development as well as the social occasion. As the representative poet of the verse of Baijuyi's style, Wangyucheng also wrote some ChangHe verses in his early days, however, since he was able to write some verses which reflected the society and people's sufferings which incarnated his sense of duty as a scholar-bureaucrat, he was greatly glorified by some other writers in aftertime and attached importance to by some researchers. This is the first discussed aspect.Value in Wangyucheng's verses is that he studied Baijuyi's poetry thoroughly. After the comparison between his and Bai's poetry, the author found that Wang inherited bai's themes and styles. Whereas, in virtue of their different characters and ages they lived, Wangyucheng never gave up his ambition of enterprise thus to ease himself. Even some of his leisurely and torchy poetry always imply sort of proud ness. Besides, while he studied from Baijuyi, Wang also molded poetry of his own style in term of words, rhymes, quotations, styles and languages. That is the second aspect of this thesis. In conclusion, this paper demonstrates verses of Baijuyi's style in early song dynasty and researches on Wangyucheng's works, both of which illustrate Wangyucheng's excellence in verses of Baijuyi's style.
