It's a part of speech peculiar of Chinese-Tibetan language family that there are so many quantifiers , Compared to the quantifiers in other language ,There are four main characteristics of quantifiers in Chinese :it's a large family,it's widely applied,and the gramatical functions and semantic features are compicated, Quantifiers themselves are a category with abundant words and complexity, which make speech performance scientified and precise from the point of view of grammar as well as make speech vivid and rhetoric pragmatically, So, foreigners cannot use them easily and correctly, sometimes even blocked by them,In this thesis, five chapters are used to discuss quantifiers on base of modern semantics in four aspects, including its naming, history of its researching, its classification, its semantic features, its nature, its pragmatic features such as ambiguity and rhetorics, On basis of this, teaching of quantifies in TCSL is discussed and new principles and strategies are put forth,In preface, beginning with the history of its research, the present situation of its research is analysed, mainly including its achievements and shortages, The former means cumulating in quantity and advances in quality , while the latter is unequality in the researching results and some problems in its teaching,On its classification, I briefly describe the history of quantifiers and its researching, and give a clear definition of its concept and extension and confirm that the second verbs in the structures such as "看一看,试一试" cannot be considered as quantifiers, And I further explore its inner classification,I discuss the three additional senses except its core meaning, among which image meaning is corpus, And so, I differentiate image meaning and external structure, and further analysis three ways of its imitating objects,Next I investigate quantifiers in the aspect of pragmatics, highlighting its ambiguity and analysing the variations in pragmatics and grammar caused by duplication of quantifiers,In the last part , starting with acquisition of quantifiers , I analyse the teaching of quantifier in TCSL as a whole, Finally, on base of exsisting researching achievements on teaching principles and methods of quantifiers, I suggest adopting a new principle of "reappearing by overlapping" and ,according to the principle of advance by gradations, I point than we should adjust teaching quantifiers step by step not only aiming at input volume but also adding semantic and pragmatics explanations.
