| There is a wide spread concern on the emerged notion "Emotional intelligence", which is regarded as a better indicator to predict the future success of individuals. The development of EI is closed connected with the success or failure of an individual's life and career. As an important aspect of quality cultivation, EI is of great importance to the society. This paper which subject was undergraduate revised Schutte's Emotional Intelligence Scale, and tested various psychological assessment indexes; meanwhile, made a survey on the current EI conditions and characteristics of Chinese undergraduate. These result shows:1. The revised Chinese edition boasts excellent reliability and validity, which is a valid tool to assess EI of the undergraduate. The result of confirmative factor analysis shows the goodness of fit of EI model.2. The EI level of the youth assessed with the inventory presents an overall forward tendency, and EI problems in proper order reflected by various dimensions are: regulate other people's emotional>appraisal other people's emotional>appraisal self emotional>regulate self emotional > expression and use of emotional3. The EI of the graduate has not significant gender effects, the total EI of female is higher than male's, while the female's AEO,UEPS is significantly higher than male's.4. The EI of the graduate has significant grade effects, with an overall expression of sophomore > freshmen > junior. on the side of ERO, sophomore > junior; freshmen > junior. on the side of AEO, sophomore > junior. on the side of ERS, sophomore > freshmen.5. The EI of the graduate has significant regional effects. The total EI of arts and science students has no significant effects.6. In total EI, the interactions between regions and grades are insignificant. And the side of UEPS between genders, grades and subject types are not statistically significant and on the side of ERS has a significant interaction between gender and subject types. |
