Based on literature review, individual interview, and open questionnaires, this paper puts forward the theoretical hypotheses about the cultural psychological adaptation of Yi middle school students in Panzhihua region. On the basis of these hypotheses, questionnaires for preliminary survey are compiled, and formal questionnaires with good reliability and validity are also coming into being after preliminary survey and corresponding statistical analysis. Having used self making "questionnaires for the cultural psychological adaptation of Yi middle school students" to survey 850 middle school students of Yi nationality, the outcomes show:(1) The self making questionnaires for the cultural psychological adaptation of Yi middle school students have good reliability and validity. Through factor analysis, we get four constitutional aspects of the cultural psychological adaptation of Yi middle school students: de-nativefixation, inter national adaptation, living adaptation, and learning adaptation. This structure is basically identical with my hypotheses.(2)According to scores of the cultural psychological adaptation of Yi middle school students on these dimensions, the sequence form the highest to the lowest is: living adaptation, inter national adaptation, learning adaptation, and de-nativefixation.(3)Totally, there exist notable gender difference and grade difference in the cultural psychological adaptation of Yi middle school students, but the interaction of gender and grade is not obvious. From the perspective of concrete dimensions, de-nativefixation has a remarkable main effect on gender, while other dimensions are not obvious on gender or grade or the interaction of them.(4) Gender shows great difference on dimensions of de-nativefixation, learning adaptation and the total. On all these dimensions, boys are lower than girls.(5) The general cultural psychological adaptation of Yi middle school students and the grade development on various dimensions generally present a raising trend. But most of them have not reached significance level. Only on the dimension of de-nativefixation exists significant differences which shown as: senior one > junior two.
