Feasibility Study For The Modern Mural Design Under New Medium Conditions

In the present era,digital technology is developing unprecedentedly. The fertile and active expression means of the new media art stemmed from digital technology become more and more mature. As a burgeoning art form,the new media art is constructed on the occasion of the conversion period of native modern mural. It is an opportune time to perfect their forms and systems. Besides, it is advanced how to intervene and inosculate each another. This article will explore the feasibility to construct and develop the new form of mural by applicating the technological measures and creating thought under new medium conditions.The article includes five parts. Chapter one is a foreward, which puts forward a new research direction the modern mural design is facing under new medium conditions.Chapter two explains the meanings of new media art and modern mural art under new medium conditions respectively. The first is to explain concepts, characteristics and development of the new media art in our country from technology and culture angles. Then the late requests, the new concepts and the fresh characteristics which are assumed on the basis of inheriting tradition are analyzed.Chapter three of this article is from the angles of creating skills and technological means. The feasibility of applying new medium elements to the modern mural design will be explored. This part will place much emphasis on four aspects: the reference of audio-visual medium elements, the application of virtual reality technique, the application of interactive technique and the application of digital design software. Digital audio-visual technique has infused dynamic audio-visual symbol into the creation of modern mural. Digital virtual technique has not only added more possibility for the exploitation of virtual material of modern mural, but also stretched the time and space of modern mural design. Digital interactive technique and digital information communication technique have enriched the communication way of modern mural. At the same time they promote the aesthetic experiences of the viewers. Digital design software with strong function and abundant categories has provided creation tools and basis which are both simple and efficient.New requests for creation subject are put forward in the last two chapters, and some development prospects are shown about the future modern mural.
