In American literature history, many non-Indian writers portrayed the image of Indian characters, paid much attention to the Indian history and its culture. The indian characters in these articles reflected its national destiny, its cultural characteristic and the writers'feeling during the communication and confliction against another civilization.As one of the most famous American female writers in the 20th century, Willa Cather hold such a feeling through out her life. Researching from this part of her articles, we can find the multi-cultural effection in her literature life, including the limitation to her writing, and also can get a better understood to her idea and writing.This article will be in three parts to discuss the indian topic in her articles. The first part mainly to analyse and specify the indian characters and why comes to that. The second part mainly to discuss and analyse her article and her idea tendency by the natural idea, which fit well between her herself and the indian nation. The last part mainly for the confliction between she and the indian nation, based on her own nation, religion identity etc.We can see from this anlasysis of the article, Willa Cather's writing is effected by multi-culture and how does she face the different civilization. And we do believe, these points will deeply help us to know Willa Cather's idea and her writing feather, which will also highly effected us to make a compromise when dealing with various kinds of culture conflicts.
