There are much work to carry out on the famous workings in the late period of talented man and beautiful woman novel. The masterpiece《Orchid Dream Wonderful Biography》is the typical representation among them.《Orchid Dream Wonderful Biography》, whose author was Yinmeishanren, is a talented man and beautiful woman novel in the late Qing Dynasty. The work published in 1905 when Emperor Guangxu governed China. The novel was reprinted for several times due to its excellent art feature as well as its public praise. While this novel was not popular in a large scale because it was listed into the prohibited books. Until the late 20 centuries, the novel was studied by some people and they all pay their attention to the analysis of the main characters. Based on all these previous studies, an overall view on《Orchid Dream Wonderful Biography》was formed in this paper. In Chapter One, the development of talented man and beautiful woman novel was analyzed in detail and the historical background as well as the social environment of this novel came into being. The study on the characters and the narration features were carried out in Chapter Two and Chapter Three, so the deep ideology as well as the creative intention was presented before us. It played an important role in grasping the essential of this masterpiece and establishing its historical status in the talented man and beautiful woman novel.
