Sunzi is the resplendent treasure in the cultural legacy of Chinese classical military field, which is filled with a broad and profound knowledge, thoughtful and penetrating thoughts, compact and tight logic. This book is not only the earliest writing on the art of war in our country but also in the whole world. The specific research of the classical works is the basis of the construction of the history of Chinese language; the specific research of the grammar in the classical works is the foundation of establishing the history of Chinese language. Sunzi is a very important work of anti-qin's zishu,it is so value and important that we must study it when we study the linguistics and literature. So studying sunzi'vocabulary is very important, too. This article based on a better text of sunzi and the electronic cards of the better text of sunzi, and researches , describes and analyzes the all adverbs of sunzi in a at large, more angles way.Since the publication of Mashiwentong ,The study of the adverb was always the controversial and problematic subject in the Chinese parts of speech research. In the ancient Chinese stenences the verb as the predicate occupied an overwhelming priority. Because of this the adverb was prosperous in the sentences and had a complex system of division. Gradually it became the most complicated part of speech in the ancient Chinese. This thesis has carefully researched the previous criterion of the adverb in other works before identifying the adverb in Sunzi; hence, it is defined as adverbial modifiers to modify and confine the verbial or adjective predicate for the purpose of expressing range, mood and time etc.We divides the all adverbs of sunzi (total 50) into 8 big categories: 1 .Adverbs of sphere. It can be divided into 3 sub-categories according to meaning, which includes the adverbs indicating generalization, limitation and similarly. 2. Adverbs of degree. Only two abverbs are used in sunzi, including shen and yi. 3. Adverbs of negative. It can be divided into two categories: expressing negative or persuasive. 4. Adverb of expressing respect. Only including gan. 5.Adverbs of modal. Four adverbs are used mainly in sunzi, including bi, wu,yi, xi. 6. Adverbs of temporal. These adverbs can be divided into 7 sub-categories according to meaning expressing past tense, complete tense, future tense, early and late tense, successive tense, connective tense, and continuing tense. 7.Adverbs of modality. It can be divided into three categories: expressing method, mood, or the thing going to happen. 8. Adverbs of connect. Only two abverbs are used in sunzi, including nai and ran. Then provides many language case for each adverbs, at last, describes and analyzes the phraseological function of each adverbs of sunzi.Through the thoroughgoing research about the adverb in Sunzi this thesis discusses about some of the linguistic facts and phenomena that appeared in the middle of the Warring States Period and summarize the position of the adverb in the sentences that it probably appears.
