An Analysis Of Wu Bixia's Singing Art

Wu Bixia, a superior soprano who is called "a nightingale", successfully blends Chinese folk song singing method with Western opera singing method. The reason Wu achieved crossover between two sing methods is that based on a good command of these two characteristics, she skillfully mix them together to magically bring a unique charm when she performs.In the technique aspect, Wu explores the unison and difference of the two methods by comparing vocal sound, syllabication as well as physical strength and breath, thus she is able to freely combine and use for reference of the two unlike ways.
