The Concept And Practice Of Crossover Design In Late Nineteenth Century

This article from the “boundary” concept and classification,to analysis the defects of excessive segmentation fields of knowledge, resulting in people’s field of vision is hindered, thinking is limited, and became the shackles of knowledge innovation. The crossover’s purpose is to break through the traditional boundaries of knowledge, to make the different area of knowledge together. This is also the source of ideas and methods of crossover.This article research the crossover design of disciplinary classification, application of design techniques from the perspective of crossover design. To sort out the current situation of the development of crossover design, and through the summary of the case crossover design in technology, materials, methods and forms of ways of operation modes and characteristics, focuses on the analysis of crossover design works of Ettore Sottsass, Carlo Scarpa, Eileen Gray.Through this, trying to study ways to increase cross-border design, and explore the possibility of cooperation in various fields in design work, breaking the boundaries of design in order to create new areas of design, promote the development of design and design disciplines.
