The thought"Tianli"(the Course of Nature) of new-confucianism can be regarded as a new style of traditional thought on the Unity of Heaven and Human beings under the special historical background, from which man originates and in which he comes into being. We start from the political and academic background in which ChengHao was in order to demonstrate"Tianli"more clearly and precisely. We cannot define"Tianli"straightly,as a key idea in new-confucianism which contains widely and whose meaning is deep.So only we grasp the internal clue can we approach"Tianli"more consciously. In some degree,"TianLi"is not only an ideal but also a reality. In this thesis,I try to illustrate a characteristic"Tianli"by combining"Tianli"self clue with ChengHao'character. The thesis's basic structure includes the preface, four chapters and the supplementary conclusion. Now the concise introduction about the content is as the followings:The preface is about ChengHao's political and academic background, through the preface we can attain a fundamental image about ChengHao and can understand the thought of"Tianli"in ChengHao himself scope. The first chapter is about metaphysics of"TianLi".The metaphysics is described as eternity and absolutity. The second chapter is about the dynamic"Tianli".It demonstrates how"Dao"and"Qi"is linked undescribedly. And the"Creation"is the key word in this process. The third chapter is about realistic"Tianli".How to provide the reasonable translation for the changeable and unidentical world is the"Tianli"'s innate task. The fourth chapter is about man's spiritual realm."Tianli"infused into people shaped people's thought and behaviors. The last part is about the controversial dispute about"Tianli".The supplementary part is hoped to help us understand the"Tianli"more overall and more deeply.
