On Feng Guorui And His Works

This paper, based on Feng Guorui's life experiences and his major works, attempts to make a comprehensive and systematic study of Feng Guorui, the scholar of Chinese history studies. It includes summarizing and analyzing Feng's academic behaviour and his works, sorting out the preliminary studies, making necessary complements. It focuses on Feng's discovery of Maijishan Mountain Grottos, his protection of Binglingsi Temple. Its final purpose is to establish Feng's position on Modern Northwest China's culture for his contribution in this field.The paper is divided into five parts. The Introduction part states the reason, the present condition of the research on Feng and the content; the second part gives an account of Feng's life experiences; the third part is on his works; the fourth part make s a comprehensive comment on Feng's historic contribution; the last part lists Feng's chronological table and references.
