Virtual Activity: A New Kind Of Mankind Activities

Virtual activity is a new kind of mankind activities. Man is not a fixed entity without any changing, whose value lies in its dynamic existence, namely, mankind activity. Mankind activity created not only the history, the society, the world, but also mankind itself. So to speak, we can safely conclude that the history of the development of man is a history of mankind activity. Virtual activity is a new kind of man's dynamic activities created and adopted in the successive development of mankind. The rise of virtual activity has become an inconvertible trend of our age. Being full of vitality and challenges, traditional realistic activities have to face new challenges and the thinking mode, the lifestyles, and the working patterns of mankind at the time being are all placed into a thorough reform.The difference lies between virtual activity and realistic activity is that the former is the inheritance and sublimate of the latter. Virtual activity is the creative application of modern science and technology, which embodying man's nature of self-negation, development pursuing and self-overcoming. Through a multi-dimensional comparison with realistic activities, this paper will start with the definition, basic characteristics, forms of existence and development of virtual activity to demonstrate that virtual activity is the extention of realistic activities and the two will exist and develop inseparately in the modern society. Because of the changeable subject, object, intermedium time and space, the characteristics and functions of virtual activity will change accordingly. Based on this point, this paper will focus on the analysis of its great significance on human beings, the society and the nature, which has changed the social life, thinking model and developing style. One point to be particularly mentioned is that besides the invaluable significance on man, there is still some negative effect. So we should standardize the development of virtual activity from its purposiveness,regularty and their dialectical unity ,and make it develop into a free and overall development activity style .The development of man's society is everlasting, and it is the same with virtual activity. The future picture of virtual activity will be indentified with popularization, globalization, equalization, humanization and formalization.
