Enrique Granados(1867—1916)entitled"a Spanish piano poet"is one of the founders of Spanish national music. Goyescas, his representative work, is a model of Spanish piano works. This suit of piano peak works adopted romantic artistic technique was mixed with Spanish traditional musical materials. It showed the author's polybasic musical concept to advantage, and embodied the particular style and the highest level of the Spanish music at that time. This article will explore the artistic style and characters of this piece from different angles, such as the national attribute showed by the music materials, the vivid lyric attribute from the view of the musical spirit, the plentiful performance of the harmony and the improvised factor in the arrangement of the musical materials and the development of the music. Based on these analyses, it will probe into such actual problems as the rhythm, the melody, the lever and the sound which should be grasped during the playing. It is hoped that this paper will provide some reference and enlightenment to our domestic pianists and music teachers through these researches.
