Ming period was an important time when great progress had made in the field of education. Compared with the prior periods, the history education in the Ming period had the more obvious self-characteristics. Studying Ming's history education is very important and necessary for expanding Chinese education history, exploring the society history, the history of history and the culture history.The thesis consists of four parts. Part one examines that the history education occurred among the imperial court education, the government official education, the academy of classical learning giving lectures and the folk education. Part two discusses the causes of the development of history education in Ming period, which focus on the following four aspects: establishing more schools; the consciousness of history education; an abundance of history works; the developed printing. Part three explores characteristic of history education in Ming period, which include legitimism Shi Guan stays in leading factor position, be outstanding civilizing emphasizing morality, history teaching material is popularization. Part four examines the role of history education in Ming period from two aspects: the positive role and the negative role, which made the deep influence on Ming's society.Ming's history education occupies an important place in the history of Chinese history education and the history of Chinese education.
