| Historical materialism is theoretical foundation of Marxist system as Marx's first great discovery. It is very important to persist the basic principle of historical materialism correctly in socialism modernization of China.Based on analyzing the development condition of historical materialism in China, this text aims at elaborating the importance of applying developing historical materialism to socialism practice.
