Self-evaluation, as an important part of self-cognition and psychological foundation of self-adjustment, is a kind of subjective judgment about personal abilities and social orientations. It relates to the individual mental health and personality harmony. Because of the strength about their self-consciousness and their socialized, guiding Youth to make correct self-evaluation is helpful to enhance their self-confidence and self-potency feeling, and to display their potential, to maintain the individual intrinsic uniformity and their knowing unity with their doing, to sharpen their social-cognition and social compatibility, to improve their mental health and personality harmony.This article profits the related fundamental theories from the overseas and the domestic, like sign-interaction theory, self-evaluation maintenance theory, self-enhancement theory and so on, analyzes the intrinsic contradictories about self-evaluation of Youth between pursuing of perfection and limited cognition ability, comprehensive and one-sidedness, the initial goal and the ultimate objective of self-perfection, and the external contradictories between the community coexisting with numerous, pursuing of independence and the dependence of social-evaluation, high self-evaluation and objective social-evaluation and so on, discusses the effected thorough reasons causing these realistic contradictories, mental set as well as perceived social support, self-scheme, proposes the concrete strategies about how to have Youth correct self-evaluation. For example, setting up and persisting correct views, cultivating Youth's strength of perceived social support, constructing the effective social comparison system and the powerful social support.The innovations of this article are, firstly, in the foundation of self-consciousness and self-evaluation, to penetrate into and research self-evaluation of Youth thoroughly; secondly, conforming the correlated theories from the domestic and overseas, to propose the practical and significant methods about how to guide Youth to have the correct self-evaluation. This research mainly adopts methods of literature research and comparison research, and unifies the methods to research from microscopic angle about self-conscious level of Psychology, Pedagogy and Sociology in order to instruct their growth and education about Youth and to have the instructive significance to their educational practice.
