As one of the important constitution of the traffic facility, bridge hasclose relationship with people's life. This dissertation——"bridge and environment"analyze the relationship between bridge and environment from historical geographyangle. It not only has the content of the historical nature geography, but also has thecontent of the historical humanity geography. The reason of selecting Xi'an district andQing dynasty as the research object are three. The first reason is the Xi'an district as theking's state, has an important geographical position since the ancient times. The secondreason is there has no more papers about the bridge in Xi'an district in Qing dynastyfrom historical geography angle, the paper can fill the subject blank. The third is fromcultural relic protecting angle, researching the old bridge in Xi'an district can make usknow which bridges are more important, in order to protect and use them.This paper divides into seven parts. As follows:Firstly, preface. First, introduce the survey and the research tendency of the oldbridge, then elaborate the relationship between bridge and environment in overall,finally explain the research mentality, the frame, the research methods and theresearch significance of this paper.Secondly, the nature and social environment in Xi'an district in Qing dynasty. Thissection is the basis of the question this article needs to study. The bridge and ferry arethe important parts of the traffic in the background of the big nature and socialenvironment, which are restricted by the nature and social environment.Thirdly, the survey of the bridge in Xi'an district in Qing dynasty. By the unit ofXian, compute the bridge and ferry of the eighteen Xian, tabulate and analyze it.Analyze the construction situation in time stage, in order to seek the time distribution ofthe construction of the bridge and ferry. Take two typical bridge construction asexamples, introduce the concrete construction of the bridge, also introduce the concreteconstruction of the ferry. Fourth, the relationship between bridge and natural environment in Xi'an district inQing dynasty. The natural environment is the sum total of all kind of natural conditionswhich are the human's survival and development relies on. This section use historicaldata, elaborate the relationship between bridge and natural environment from therelationship between bridge and hydrology, terrain, vegetation, climate, also elaboratethe natural environment destruction which is led by the bridge construction.Fifth, the relationship between bridge and social environment in Xi'an district inQing dynasty. The social environment is the environment which is created by thehumanity long-term social activities. The social environment is intricated, all parts oftenconnect each other. On the condition of distinguishing each essential factors of socialenvironment, this section mainly elaborate the relationship between bridge andeconomy, politics, transportation, social magnanimous act, literary and arts.Sixth, typical bridge research. This section takes the prosperity and decline of BAbridge in Qing dynasty and the construction of LAODIAN bridge as example, introducethe construction, repair and transformation of the bridge in Xi'an district in Qingdynasty in detail.Seventh, conclusion. This section summarize the characteristics of the bridgeconstruction in ancient Xi'an district, explain some problems which is not solved in thispaper, waits for to carry on more detailed research in future.The writing of this paper is based on the collection of the historical evidence.Through the writing of this paper, we can draw the following conclusion. Thedistribution of bridge in Xi'an district in Qing dynasty is very universal and thedistribution of bridge in Xi'an district in Qing dynasty also have some characteristicsin region and time. The bridge structure has dose relationship with the naturalenvironment. The bridge construction is restricted by the natural environment. In turn,the bridge construction has also reaction regarding the natural environment. The bridgeconstruction also are influenced by some social environment factors such as politics,military, economy and culture.
