The Study Of The Present Age Of Wu Guanzhong's Traditional Chinese Painting Art

Wu Guanzhong is one of the most important painters in present Chinese painting world, enjoying great reputation on the one hand and suffering much dispute on the other hand. Nowadays, how should the Chinese painting inherit and develop in the new situation has been drawn much attention. Where is the direction of the Chinese painting has become the major problem of Chinese paining world. By making a comprehensive analysis of typical characters and events, i.e. the success and failure of exploration in Chinese painting, its major esthetics thought, the union of orient and west painting art, and some time characteristics of Chinese painting, the purpose of this thesis is to research, discuss and explain some problems, such as, why we should advocate the contemporary point of Chinese painting art, what is the contemporary point of Chinese painting art, how does the contemporary point of Chinese painting art manifest and what's inspiration we have get from Mr. Wu's Chinese paintings and so on. It's the author's sincere hope that this thesis could give Mr. Wu as well as the Chinese painting an objective comment, and at the same time provide some useful enlightenment on the research in the future.
