Research On The Mobile Phone Color Words

Mobile phone color words are produced in recent years,such as "nightblue", "success silver", "knight ash", "mystical purple" .This kind ofcolor words come from traditional color words which exist in vocabularysystem of Contemporary Chinese. But as one kind of words which veryworth studying but not causing the concerned neologisms enough, it hassome differences with traditional color words. This text regards this kindof special mobile phone color words as the research object, try to classifythis kind of color words with the theory of "Four Worlds", and analysesthe reason and value in practice with the help of Sociolinguistics,Psycholinguistics. At last, the author tries to make a deep analysis forstandardize of mobile phone color words.This paper includes six sections as follows:In section one, mainly summarizes and briefly comments on thebackground of title chosen, and the status, method and significance of therelated research both at home and abroad.In section two, mainly makes a contrast between mobile phone colorwords with traditional color words. Different with the classification wayof traditional color words, this paper uses the theory of "Four Worlds"divided mobile phone color words into three kinds. At the same time,contrasted with traditional color words, mobile phone color words showout its distinctive characteristics.In section three, explores and researches the principle and popular reasonof mobile phone color words. The reason not only be connected withlanguage but also be connected with society and economy.In section four, mainly discusses the practical function of mobile phone color words. Mobile phone color words provided many synonyms withtraditional color words. Mobile phone color words, as a new way ofnamed color, reinforced the effect of speech social intercourse.
