At present, The Chinese Proficiency Test gets difficulty parameter after the implementation of each question. Without implementation, we can hardly judge the difficulty of any sentence pattern, we can not get the difficulty parameter only by means of analyzing sentences, because we do not know which features of the sentence pattern can influence difficulty. There is one more thing we have no idea either, which is we do not know if there is another way to predicate difficulty accurately without implementation. This dissertation analyze sentence patterns of The Chinese Proficiency Test (elementary grade) based on the grades of grammar items, which divided by The Grammar Section in A Grade Syllabus for HSK, to find features that influence difficulty of sentence pattern. After features were found, we use correlation analysis, significance test and cluster analysis to gradually find out the most representative features. After that, we use these features as input to the neutral network to build up the Model of Difficulty of Chinese Sentence Pattern (MDCSP). We use the model to test the features as well as to predicate difficulty of sentence pattern.
