Teaching a child to play the piano is now a common sight modern-day society. It has become an important aspect of basic education in modern-day society. However, we must ask what meaningful purpose there exists in teaching and learning to play the piano is. What kind of expectations should one have? How much time should be allotted? Which aspects of music should be studied? In other words, how should we best approach our educational goals? These are all crucial questions for music educators to ask themselves today. For a piano teacher, the question of how one should use one's skills to train tomorrow's performers is the most important question he faces. Knowing that there exists a compromise between the expectations of the parents and those of the child, how should one best train a child? Developing a strict yet reasonable approach to teaching is utmost important. For those who have already attained a high level of piano training, everyone has a common experience. At the beginning of one's piano careers, there is always a time of dedicated and difficult study to master the basics. This is the training that will stick to them for the rest of their lives. There is a large variety of methods the teacher can use to pass on this basic knowledge - this method may involve trying to convey a sense of love for music in students, or to make piano learning appear like a game that appeals to children, or to drill the students on the importance of technique and performance, or even to appeal to the student's own assets and special talents. However, if there is no training in the basic techniques, to excel in performance would be merely an empty dream. This is true even if the child is a musical prodigy. Therefore, here I give a detailed explanation on how best to train students in the basic art of piano playing.1. The personal traits of the teacher and his ability to teach well, the student's natural abilities and determination, and the parent's willingness to support their child are three crucial aspects to success.A) What personal traits best highlight a successful piano teacher?B) How old should the child be before he should start to learn the piano?C) The nature of the parental support.2. The difference between teaching a child to play the piano versus teaching an adult.3. Drilling on basic techniques and fostering an active interest and understanding of the different perspectives toward musical study and composition must be taught hand-in-hand.A) The importance of teaching basic techniques.B) How not to mistake all problems to be problems in technique. This is because piano education is not only an education that involves technique and knowledge, but also one that involves an appreciation and understanding for different perspectives regarding musical composition and study.C) Piano education has brought countless children the joy of intellectual curiosity.4.
