The Study On The Writing Process Of The Dream Of Red Chambers Based On The Story Of Er You Of The Red Chamber

This paper is mainly focusing on the text conflicts of the novel The Dream of Red Chambers. The conflicts towards the story of Er You of the Red Chamber are on such aspects: contents, stating sequence and style of stating. There are many conflicts among them, such as the conflicts of the stating sequence and the consistence of the stating styles.These conflicts are caused by the way of "cutting and pasting" the author used during this novel's writing. The author Cao Xueqin cut the story of Er You of the Red Chamber from the novel Feng Yue Bao Jian and pasting it onto the novel The Dream of Red Chambers. The author weakened the trace of that part of story from the original novel. He also rearranged the sequence of the story and added some details about the actresses Dai Yu and Bao Chai. So the story of Er You of the Red Chamber mixed smoothly with the The Dream of Red Chambers we see today. But the author didn't finish it completely. So chapter 64 and chapter 67 seem to be later finished than the other chapters.
