Battle movies play a very important part during the world movies' history. Different battle movies in different countries have their own features, that because of such differences: nations, backgrounds of the times, traditions of cultures and expressing ways. In the same way, the movies of China and Russia show their different making characters and art styles in different times. Especially since 20c70s, these two countries had suffered from social reforms respectively in the special times. So being inherited the precious experience, the moviemakers of the two countries continued to probe into the connotations of the battle movies, to search after more expressing methods and in order to open a brand new times.This paper focuses on the comparison of the battle movies between China and Russia since 20c70s. According to the scales and the topics of the wars, this paper brings forward three expressing ways of the battle movies in chapter one: the way of showing panorama, the way of showing part and the way of showing individualism. Comparing the making characters and art styles of the battle movies of the two countries, we can realize the discrepancy of them deeply.In the following chapters two and three, this paper combine the nationality and the temporal feature with the movie creation of the two countries. Doing more research and analysis in relating tactics and image modeling, in order to find out the commonness between them and respective peculiarities. At last, chapter four focuses on the inner system and the rules of the interaction between the movie creation and the audience in the view of the study on audience and the aesthetics on acceptance. And so putting forward some proposes on building the recognition system, then the instructive theory and accordance will be applied to the creation of the battle movies.At the same time, the comparison between China and Russia is always combining the cultural backgrounds of the two countries. This paper is also in the consideration of the cultural traditions and the national emotions plentifully, so it helps us to recognize and understand the movie culture more fully.This paper tries to scan China's battle movie more impersonally through the deep comparison of the two countries. In that way we can reveal the essence of China's battle movie, and help it to combine more closely with the features of the age in order to fulfill its historical commission and art rebuild.
