As a leader and representative of Zhe school, in literature history of Qing Dynasty, Li E' s disposition is very great in members of Zhe school, his literary views deepened poetic and Ci' s theory of Zhe school, and his work of poems and Ci were practice and showing of his literary views. This paper attempts on basis of materials, passes through Li E's literary theory and composition of poems and Ci, inquires into heart world and significance to literary history.At the part of introuduce, the paper gives a brief intruduction to the history and present situation of the research about Li E, points out the complishment and shortcoming.Chapter one is about the life and works and character of Li E.Chapter twe is about Li E' s travelling and friendship. Due to people had very many members of the travelling and friendship, these members include: salt businessmen, scholars, some members of "Yang Zhou Ba Guai "and officials. Meanwhile, Li E' s literature activities were the big intrumental ensemble of him and his friends, these activities includes: meeting at Han Jiang,southern of the Lake, the Jiao Hill and the West Lake.Chapter three is about Li E' s literature views,includes: poetic theory and Ci' s thoery. The important features about poetic theory of Li E are that he emphasized scholaiship, creation, "Qing"and "Han". In fact, these featrues are reflection of Li E' s rich knowledge and unique character. About his Ci' s views, he attached importance to the type of eleant, style and meaning. Meanwhile, he advocated to study from Zhou Bangyan and Jiang Kui. In one word, Li E' s literary views deepened literary thoery of Zhe school.Chapter four is about the contents and artistic features of his poems. The contents of his poems can be put into four categories: singing nature scenery, thinking about history, reflecting farmers' living and custom, expressing friendship and himself living situation.There are also four artistic features of his poems. Using many literary quotation, creating meaning of "Qing","Shou","Ying",varing different styles, and creating many poetic forms.Chapter five is about the contents and artistic features of his Ci. The contents of his poems includes: reflecting nature scenery, thinking of friends and relatives, thinking about history, autographing in pictures and chanting floras. Artistis features includes: creating quiet,grace atmosphere, advocating changes. Li E' s Ci had gained great complishment, not only in the very year, but also in later year, brought about frofound and lasting effection.The epilogue is mainly about Li E and Zhe school's position and influence in literature history of Qing Dynasty.
