Ye Shengtao, as a famous educator, have more than 70 years experience in language teaching, which is unique the history of education in China . His language teaching is insightful and original,and now becoming a treasure in Chinese culture. Currently, Ye Shengtao's language teaching thought has covered many areas, however , the aesthetics education in his language teaching is seldom referred, yet hasn't form a completely theory system, too. So, this paper tries to take a preliminary study on aesthetics education of Ye Shengtao's language teaching. This can not only shape a more profound and comprehensive understanding on the language teaching , but also give us some inspirations on how to carry out aesthetics education on contemporary language teaching. This paper attempts to take some studies from three aspects : 1, the goals of Ye Shengtao's aesthetics. Education: To develop a habit of reading books , to cultivate an ability of appreciating literature and to train to form the skills of writing. 2, The conditions for Ye Shengtao's aesthetics education: Outstanding textbooks closed to objects, interactive teaching rooted from books , qualified Teachers kept studying . 3, The methodology of Ye Shengtao's aesthetics education : Reading aesthetically to have a better understanding of the words; trying to imagine in order to taste the feelings of the author, cultivating a sense of the passage to realize the context. In Ye Shengtao's opinion, aesthetics education should be carried out in the language teaching contemporarily, that will be helpful to the students' personality and promise their a comprehensive development, which will make sense to the language teaching reform and quality education.
