Jingchuang religion, which is also called Jingtang(golden house for delivering a sermon) religion,Jingtang(golden house for storing classics) religion,or Jingtong riligion, was established between the years of Wangli(1573—1620)in Ming dynasty. It is a nongovernmental religious sect between Ming-Ching dynasty. For lacking of raw material, the origin of Jingzhuang religion, its religious doctrines, its religious system, its religious classification, its ceremonies, its methods of actions and the present conditions waried in the academic circles, some specialists even deny the existence of this nongovernmental religious sect.Recently I am invesgating into this religion in Putian area(mainly in the countryside),and I am lucky to gather some new evidences of Jingzhuang religion, including some rare manuscripts. With these, some of the problems mention above could be clarified. In my article, first I trace the source of Jingzhuang religion and then investigate its development and its transformation, especially the new changes after it had been circulated to Fujian. After outlining the development of Jingzhuang religion,I vivisect its doctrines, its religious system, and its organization with religious and social methods, and the interpretation of ceremonies are the forcus. With the newly founded literal works and the new material which I got in my investigation in the area,I center on the present condition of Jingzhuang religion in the last part of my article, and disclose objectively its function in our social life, and the problem it faced and its future.
