As a migrant writer, Taoran experienced the double identity of South identity (Immigration identity) and Hong Kong identity (Commercial cultural identity) and they were fully highlighted in his works. The author will try to put Tao ran's works to Hong kong's historic context and literary field to investigate and deeply analysis double variation of"South identity"and"Hong kong identity" in Tao ran's novels as well as his writing style with this different identity. The process of Tao ran accepting his South identity was the evolution which he first awared his " South identity" ,then become ambiguous " South identity", at last flee to"South identity " and approve to "Hong kong identity".It responded to the aspects of his portraying characters. Tao ran first put his own writing of the bottom (the survival anxiety) ,then to the humanity under Hong kong commercial background (the money anxiety) ,in the end to the magic figures' writing of magic domain and "contemporary fable" of "fracture history" (the spirit anxiety) .Through this paper the works' background and its evolution of tragedy color to "drama" color to comedy color can be seen.
