Tie Ning is the famous female writer in Chinese contemporary literature. Fromher first mounting to the literary arena to the present, she has unceasingly aroused thecritics' interest by the striking creation works and the unique artistic style. This thesistries to explore into feminine consciousness in Tiening's novels in orderto make afurther research into Tiening's novels.The female character's creation in Tie Ning's novels can be divided into three periods: theperiod of Xiang Xue, the period of rose gate and the period of big bathing female. During thesethree periods, her female images change from the pure to the complex and to the plentiful, thusconstitutes a winding and difficult female growing history. Tie Ning believes that the femalesurvival difficult position mainly comes from the social and female themselves: From the socialaspect, the unequal status between male and female in the society cause female bear theconstraining which comes from their survival, physiology and emotion. From the female aspect,the feudalism thought "the three to be obeyed and the four feminine virtues" which the femalesare unable to get rid of caused their tragedy destiny. In the novels, Tie Ning seeks thereasonable prospect for the female through unremitting diligence. She believes tochange female's destiny, firstly, the existing unequal order between sexes must bechanged. Secondly, females themselves must get rid of the attachment to males andachieves the self-respect, self-supporting and self-striving. Thirdly, females mustreject the human nature dissimilation and achieves the human nature respecting.Finally, females must unceasingly introspect themselves and establishes the garden oftheir hearts and souls.
