Studying On The Vocabulary Of XiuXingDaoDiJing

XiuXingDaoDiJing is an important translation work of Zhufahu. Abuddishm scripture translator in the time of Western Jin Dynasty. Thereis a lot of oral language and much value in the researches of thevocabulary history by using the methods of the traditional study and themodern lexicological theory. This thesis is targeted at this book andaimed at providing some useful material in deep vocabulary research ofthis book through arguing some words in it.Firstly, we describethoroughly the new words and new senses of some old words ofXiuXingDaoDiJing. We concentrate on the study of the structure andform of the new words and the source of the new sense of the old words.Secondly we research into semantic shift of the new senses.Thirdly weanalysis the structure and form of the disyllables, and concentrate on thecoordinating compounds and derivatives. Through these initial studies,we can conclude that there is a lot of work to do on the vocabulary ofXiuXingDaoDiJing and affirm its value in the history of the Chinesevocabulary.
