To Revised The Grand Dictionary Of Chinese Basing On Vocabulary Of Zhuzi Yulei

"The Grand Dictionary of Chinese”(hereinafter referred to as "Dictionary") is one of the most important tool works of words explanation by far. It had made breakthrough in words receiving, in the number of words definitions, as well as other aspects of the documentary evidence citing compared to the similar, and has very important significance in the history of lexicography of our country.However, on the advantage of "Dictionary" to be sure, we must also see as a fact that dialectic of these kinds of purposes will inevitably arise shortcomings of the Department of compiling dictionaries in the preparation process. Since the "Dictionary" was published, articles in this respect have been constantly published by scholars and have been discussed, and some specific proposed amendments have been proposed. This is also part of this research.In this thesis, a more comprehensive study of words in the book "Zhuzi yulei" has been made, and this study will be used for "Dictionary" Supplement from the following aspects:First, explaining the words uncollected in "Dictionary". This chapter take words not collected by "Dictionary", made investigation and analysis one by one,and also pay attention to whether they have an earlier using cases.This part includes 44 cases.Second, to supplement the inaccurate definitions of words in "Dictionary". This chapter take the "Zhuzi yulei" ’s words interpretation seems open to question 32 cases recorded in "Dictionary", examine its meaning carefully, and strive to produce the most universally applicable original meaning, and consider the meanings of points and issues for multi-meaning words, meanwhile.Third, to supplement the explained meanings of words collected by "Dictionary”. This chapter’s works are made from two aspects about "Zhuzi yulei"’s words in "Dictionary" respectively: "Incomplete meanings" and "Improper senses points". Questions were analyzed and investigated, and specific recommendations and Supplement are made. This part includes 35 cases.Fourth, to supplement the documentary evidence for words explained in "Dictionary". This chapter’s works are made from two aspects about "Zhuzi yulei" ’s words in "Dictionary" respectively: "No example certificate" and "Illustration being late" and put forward concrete recommendations of supplement. This part includes 81 cases.Conclusion section concludes this paper’s work.
