| With the development of speech synthesis, the problems of words and phrases have been solved successfully. But it has not met the need of Chinese processing. The most important thing in Chinese processing is to get more natural pause, which accords more with the characters of Chinese. Considering the special rhythm character of Chinese, intonation phrase is a very important aspect studied. The intonation phrases in Double Object Sentences and in Objective Clauses are needed to be studied.This paper mainly talks about intonation phrases existing in Double Object Sentences and Objective Clauses. This paper consists of five chapters. The first chapter gives us a brief review of researches on the rhythm and the present problems in the speech synthesis. The second chapter is about the corpus, from which the author collect some sentences that are mainly Double Object Sentences and Objective Clauses, and makes them labeled. The third chapter analyzes the intonation phrase in Objective Clauses and Double Object Sentences. The author proposes the definition of Empty syllable, although in the surface structure, in the empty place there is no speech, this position can not be occupied. The Empty Syllable is considered as the racial reason that causes the different pause to form different intonation phrase. The fourth chapter analyzes with auto segmental theory the intonation phrases from declarative sentence and interrogative sentence in Double Object Sentences and in Objective Clauses. The last chapter is the conclusion and the future work. |
