This thesis focuses on investigating and researching internal and external Chinese CAI(Computer-Assisted Instruction) in recent ten years, especially these five years in detail. On the basis of these detailed investigation and research, it makes a comparison and analysis with Chinese CAI research conditions at home and abroad. The thesis aims at making a tentative analysis to sum up and getting an accurate understanding of Chinese CAI research status. It also aims at generalizing the phased research gains to find out the main differences and the causes of these differences between internal and external Chinese CAI researches, and to put forward some specific suggestions to develop Chinese CAI research. Hopefully, some referential valued could be presented in this thesis, doing good to some later research in this research.It takes the methods of bibliographical consultation, combined with data analysis, and those of synchronic and diachronic investigation. The investigation and comparative analysis showed that extremely high attentions have been paid to Chinese CAI research both at home and abroad, the investigation scope is fairly equal to its depth and its trend goes much closer to its direction. Apparent differences lies in its research focus and emphasis. The main courses analyzed in this article go as follows: It differs a lot in its foundation style and social backgrounds of developing Chinese CAI both at home and abroad. Finally, some suggestions have been raised in developing Chinese CAI research later at home in this article, including seeing through developing overall directions; finding a right developing position; and optimizing the operational mechanism, and so on.
