Comparative Research On Songjiang And Libai

Songjiang and Libai were both famous poets in Korea and China. They lived in different period of time. Songjiang lived in middle period of Korean ancestor and Libai lived in the heyday of the Tang Dynasty. Their living interval was about 800 years. Therefore, they showed differences in character, thinking which includes political thought and outlook on life and nature, and creative feature of works. Both of them were active,refreshed, intelligent and haughty in character and because of these their works are refreshing,smooth and improvisatorial. In thinking aspect, they had high aspiration to be famous and both of them worried about their countries and loved their people. In their outlook on life, they couldn't get rid of Confucian relief thinking and realistic contradiction. And they were also unable to extricate themselves from hypocrisy and drinking. They showed model of indulging in material comfort. In their outlook on nature, because of the background of growing up and effects which came from Taoist school's thoughts of living as a hermit and loving of nature, they were similar naturally. The cause of the similarities can be seen from the historical background of the two poets and their growing surroundings such as gaining knowledge from teachers,making friends and ect., and it also can be the reason of the differences. From the works,there were many similarities because of the sameness between characteristics and thoughts.And the Songjiang's works imitated Libai's in many aspects. This kind of imitation is not the whole copy, but just limited in the style of the work, the attitude of making poetry and the characteristics of the formation. In particular image, they also showed the similarities in expressing the image of the moon and the wind. Therefore,Songjiang's literature showed the imitation of Libai's literature in one aspect. Due to historical interval between Songjiang's literature and Libai's,Songjiang had to be expressed in the way of Libai's literature. However, Songjiang's imitation to Libai's was initiative, critical and developing. Songjiang's learned from Libai and made his own characteristic and formed relatively independent literature phase in circle of Chinese culture.
