Harmony teaching plays an important role on music education with its special glamour. It is the essential foundation of go in for music education, and music theory study. So, how to give harmony teaching lessen always the frequently discuss topic of higher normal teaching reform.This paper《Discuss on computer music software apply to higher normal teaching》,that is, aimed at some present exist problems and abuses in higher normal harmony teaching, then look for effective teaching method or way to solve the problem exist in harmony teaching through learn and study.Music software has been applied to the teaching of harmony, with its unique visual image, and application flexibility, harmony provides us with a brand new mode of teaching and learning. Practice is proved, harmony in high schools using computer software, music teaching, not only to update the traditional modes of teaching but also it solve the drawbacks of teaching, so that the full features of a specific embodiment of harmony theory with practice, audio—visual integration, and effectively improving the quality of teaching, stimulating the creative thought of students, enhancing the creative capabilities, thus achieving good teaching results, make the harmony teaching more perfect. It has a deep significant step to the reform of higher education music, and achieves modernization; teachers have to improve the education level of significance.The thesis is divided into three parts:First part At present, harmony teaching exist the main problems and reform urgently in higher normal school. This part will introduce the status and the cultivation goal of higher normal school harmony teaching at present, teaching facilities and the question of the existence of the status, and point out it is imperative to reform harmony teaching now.Second part The thesis illustrates the operation process of applying the computer music software to the harmony teaching. The paper carries on the analysis of the operation process of how to applying the computer music software to the harmony teaching; elaborates the theory of applying the computer music software to the harmony teaching; how to solve a good deal of problems existed by the means of using computer music software. Third part This paper illustrates the significance of applying computer music software to harmony teaching. By this way, it could excite students'study interests; cultivate students'ability of creation; open their mind; and let them know more different harmony styles and so on.Conclusion This part concludes the main idea of the whole content, it summarizes the new teaching styles and studying methods which are brought by studying harmony teaching in this paper, and provides the relevant suggestions.
