Study To The Relationship Between Nationality Character Of Japan And America And Their Animation Expressive Language

Recently, the nationhood of animation is being discussed broadly as a hot subject, because of the exploration into issues such as how Chinese animation could develop. However, even if on the topic of nationhood, correlative animation theoretical research is still not full-scale and deep enough. Current research is limited in finding nation spirits out of animation works, and doesn't ask why in a more deep visual angle and thought.This article begins with the consideration over animation nationhood,instancing the two super animation nation------America and Japan, by the mediumof analysing their ethos and animation works, breadthways and lengthwise, to dig out the deep processus of nation ethos on animation creation.The grain of this article is clear. First is the exposition to the background, purpose and meaning, the explaination to current terminology that will be involved latterly, and the exponence to the relationship between nation ethos and animation expressive language. In the latter chapter, we will retrospect the history of animation of the USA and Japan, specially inserting some important persons and events that influenced their history, and then compare and analyze the animation expressive language of both emphatically. The fourth chapter is an expansion on the otherimportant part------the nation ethos of America and Japan, and generalize their ethosfrom the work of people of the past. The fifth chapter is the most important one in this article. This chapter is based on the former discussion and something achieves without effort. We'll summize how the nation ethos is given expression to animation expressive language and what effects it has done on matiere, style, role setting and so on. The sixth chapter, as the ending of this article, will show the conlusion getting from the former chapters again to proof the standpoint of the author.The nation ethos is a very good incision point to research animation. My work on this is only a small step, however, we couldn't go thousands of kilometers without such small steps. I hope our theoretical systeem could be more fleshed out and Chinese animation could flying soon with firm and unyielding moral strength.
