Among Chinese kite genres, the Ha's Kites are one with typical characters and with vivid successive history. The Ha's Kites are characteristic in their wind-proof techniques and fine distant image, for which they have been highly appreciated in China's kite spheres. In the meantime, the Ha's Kites are of great artistic value for their delicate drawing, highly-contrasting colors, and simple ancient designs. The Ha's Kites are a folk craftwork with most researching values, from which both local characters of Beijing kites and distinct style of original creation are represented and combined. The research on the Ha's Kites among the academe is presently a blank. The available relevant data are merely those introducing words or images about the genre system and techniques of them. In the present thesis, the author is committed to analyze issues such as the evolvement course, reasons for generation of the techniques, taste tropism born in the colored drawing and pattern, and market influences on the Ha's Kites, etc. Among the above, the following are discussed with emphasis: relations between the techniques and the artistic value, and the influence that the Kites' commodity attributes have on their development. It is highly expected that this thesis can make some slight supplement for the research on the Ha's Kites.
