Research On Han Immigrants Of The Southern Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region

This article adopts the methods of consulting historical documents, on-the-spot researching of ethnology and individual investigation to systematically research the Han immigrants in southern Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, who immigrated into there since Ming dynasty. Firstly, with consulting the ways of the official history documents ,the regional history documents and the oral history documents ,the article summarizes the immigration reasons and the ways of people immigrating into southern Ningxia from other area during the period of Ming and Qing dynasty, Republic of China and the age after the founding of our People's Republic of China ,and also studies its influence on the local area. Simultaneously, the article investigates the relations between the Han immigrants and the local minority nationalities over different period .Secondly, through the individual cases, the article approaches the cultural adaptation of Han immigrants in southern Ningxia as well as the cultural inadaptability about a typical Han immigrant community, which is also named "the cultural isolated island of immigrant".
