In ancient Greece the metaphor belong to the rhetoric and the poetics, and has different position in two different fields. The metaphor is used to improve the ability persuading in classical allusion rhetoric, but is used for the soul expressing emotion and purifying then in the poetics. In classical allusion rhetoric, the metaphor is use revolution of name or abnormal naming. The new rhetoric looks upon the metaphor as changing being the semanteme content to a lexical item , leading to that this changes is that the supplement and conceal of sememe, in here that this changes is the outcome of two kinds of synecdoche. The language philosopher does not admit that the sentence containing a metaphor has one kind of metaphor significance mostly, during the period of formulating a metaphor, the metaphor sentence has whose strict literal significance, understanding that the metaphor must understand the metaphor literal significance. Ricoeur looks upon the metaphor as all significance structure. It includes a direct, first and literal significance, including another indirect , additional, transferred meaning's , visualization's significance that can be understood basing the literal significance. 'Reflection' in developing course in entire Ricoeur thought, is the principle that he abides by all the time. Ricoeur look upon 'reflection' as is one kind of the behavior coming back to toward oneself. In this coming back process, the main body once grasps its oneself unification principle between those process being dispeled and being forgot as the main body in the reason glory and the morality sense of responsibility. Rioeur connect the language as ideographic with 'being'. He goes to grasp a series of metaphor and symbol being an intermediary agent and their significance there existing in what be contained human being in the signal by rethinking profoundly. The self-examination has aufheben in the process showing one kind of archaeology , teleology and eschatology.
