Literature debate has played an important role in the development of literature, but for a long time academic fruits about it is not much. It is a pity for us. I believe, the kind of research can benefit us both in clarifying the object of literature debate and in applying the sort of critical form better, therefore has its special value. I must explain , the literature debate to be discussed here is in narrow meaning ,in brief, which is in large scale and attaches importance to the literary improvement .I name the literature debate as an abnormal kind of criticisms.Firstly, the occurrence of literature debate has something to do with the rich, complex and changing literature and research object. The former acts as a latent crisis. To avoid the unnecessary dispute, we must fix the research object, at the same time, transfer it or expand it or improve it in certain situation .Therefore, we should limit the concept and focus our attention on the object. In addition, literature debate also comes from the difference of researcher and method (this difference has its positive sense). First we may use the "prejudice" theory to study the researcher. Research technique itself is a "double—edged" sword: on the one hand it may help us study the literary phenomenon, on the other hand, the method can affect or limit the research because of its independence and regularity. Furthermore, literature debate takes place regularly, that is to say, only in the special time and condition can debate come into being and perform well. So, we must study the rule, gasp the chance to get the best outcome.Compared with the common criticism, we can get some characteristics or advantages in a sense about the literature debate. The first trait turn to be "intersubjectivity" which has got some special meaning here. Arguing may be the important trait containing two layers of meaning: 1. literature and discourse power. Literature debate going on with the special arguing language. Considered with Foucault's discourse theory, we should prevent the literature debate from being captured, distorted or hurt by the discourse especially the politics. Therefore I initiate the scientific and rational manner.2 .To seek the understanding and mutual recognition. It is one of the aims of literature debate told by Habermas. To realize the equality related to the subject, we should give our personal and social effort. The multi—angles criticism is the third characteristic, which can make literature debate more defined and profound with the help of Horizintverschmelzung theory. It is well-known to us, the debate object can take a more clear, profound and broad look after the process of debate. In fact the trait is trying to hold the literature debate from a whole and mobile standpoint. From the discussion above, we can obtain three major functions about the literature debate naturally. 1. It can clarify and stimulate our feelings. Socrat Can give us more about it. 2 As a critical weapon, literature debate can solve the difficulty in the improvement of literature. Therefore, we should summarize our fruits occasionally ignored by us before.3. It can help us initiate a dialogue way in research and thinking. Literature research should absorb bakhtine's dialogue theory, apply it well in our research or thinking.
