Try To Research And Analysis The Features Of Bombay Labor Movement In Colonial India

As a emerging new social class, working class' appearance and its activities rapidly become the important part of political life in colonial India . This article attempts to study the situations about worker's living and working conditions as well as the development of labor movement in Bombay and then try to summarize the features of the Bombay labor movement.This article divides into five parts:The first part is an introduction of the article, introduces the writing motivation, the research situation and the writing methods.The second part carries on the inspection about workers' living condition, worker's origin, survival condition, industrial worker's origin, worker's religious and caste situation, professional distribution, national and language constitution, as well as sex constitutions.The third part divides Bombay labor movement into three stages—early stage, developed stage and organizational stage.The fourth part is the key part of the article, summarizes the four main features of Bombay labor movement.The last part is a conclusion of the article.
