The Study On The Sino-Siam Rice Trade In Earlier Period Of Qing Dynasty

The relation between China and Thailand which was called Siam in ancient China experienced a long historical period. In Qing Dynasty, the relation between the two countries was closer than before. Rice trade between China and Siam as a very important part of folk trade ,become a kind of commercial action in special period and the policy. Although it didn't last a long time like canna flowers appearing briefly in the whole historical perpetual flow, but it related to the national economy and the people's livelihood, so its function and the influence cannot be underestimated.This article divides into four part:The first part, expounded the academic significance, predecessor's research results of Qing-Siam rice trade and the paper's writing mentality. At the beginning of Qing Dynasty, the rice price was very high and the market was disrupted, which directly threatened the rule of the Qing government. How to solve the rice crisis in coastal various provinces became the urgent duty of Qing government.The second part, elaborated the development background of Qing-Siam rice trade.The third part, in the union literature material elaborated the development process of Qing-Siam rice trade, the prosperous reason and the influence.The fourth part, from the second, three part of elaboration draws author's conclusion, said to the Qing Dynasty ruler, the rice was not all same compared with the tributes and the goods, and the rice trade became the first foreign development trade to Qing government because of its internal demands.
