The Research On Huang Tifang

Huang Tifang, a traditional intellectual had territorial even nation-wide influences , who came from Rui'an in south Zhejiang in later Qing Dynasty. The same with the other intellectuals in the same time,reading and test are Huang Tifang's main contents in his early life.After pass the imperial civil examination, Qingliu and Educational officer are his main role in his thirty years official career. As an active member in Tong Guang Qingliu,he managed to realize his governing aspiration , so he always protected the tradition , and at the standpoint of using the tradition to serve for reality to participate the reality politics. At the same time, because of inheriting the traditional culture parts of Governing, changing and self-improvement, he had the trend to transformation. As an educational officer, he attempted to select talent by strict Imperial civil examination,simultaneously, he founded Jiangyin Nanjing College to educate talent, for realizing his ideal and humanities concern:developing the traditional intellectual's ethos, maintaining the Confucian orthodoxy. From his widely association with the person who had the similar experiences, it reflected the social life condition of the group, and pointed out that he wasn't the only in that time. In a word,because of the limited of the time condition and theirselves' experiences, although they had certain changes, they all weren't seperated from tradition orbit,neither in life level nor in thought idea. From it we may explain in some extent that, why so many flexura and difficulties were in the process of traditional China transformed into mordern society.
