Between Ming and Qing dynasties,scholars in that time exerted the tradition of complitation history by privacy and they written lots of historical texts,somebody said there are thounds of private historical texts in the end of Ming dynasty. One of them is MingJiShiLu written by Gu Yanwu.The article is based on the time and the all Gu's life and paid lots of attention to the composition and versions and context of MingJiShiLu.As one of the composing of Gu, it's even hard to find it in a long time. But that expletion does not weaken the value of the book. As everybody knows the last emperor of one dynasty endure a notoriety. But it does not happened to chongzhen who was the last emperor of Ming dynasty. So writing down the history and finding the reasons that is why there were so many scholars discussed history of that time. I think that happened to Gu also.The author is short to the historical data very much carries on the tailor and carries on the textual research, the judgement to the historical evidence; And its content to clearly perishes for a year tobe limited to, even if it is looked by the raw material, reflected the content also is frail, obviously the author in compiles at the beginning of this book certainly is not treats it as the rigorous academic work, in other words the author has not certainly carried on the strict revision and the reorganization to this book. However, this is the value. In the book receives the massive articles may take the firsthand information , its credible degree relative said must be higher than afterwards "Ming Ji Bei Lue", "the Ming Dynasty history" and so on.There are two kinds version of MingJiShiLu. Because of political persecution and other reasons this book was forbidden for a long time so some of them disappeared and can not be found any more.
